We love a food court with a play place! |
Our productive task was to rotate beds for the kids- Josiah would get Sarah's toddler bed, Sarah would get the twin bed from the attic. It took us most of a Saturday morning to get everything cleaned, rearranged, and organized.
Sarah is a pretty motionless sleeper and always has been, so she made the transition like a champ and was super excited about her "decorative" pillow. Well, and a regular pillow, for that matter. It took a couple of naps/night times for her to understand that she didn't have to be covered with one of her special baby blankets anymore- her quilt was sufficient!
Sharing a chair . . . ahhh, let us take a moment to soak in the happiness |
We started Josiah in his bed at night time and he went right to sleep. He did really well with staying in bed and I'm pretty sure he has thoroughly exhausted the list of things we didn't think to tell him he couldn't do in bed. (Pushing the bed away from the wall was my favorite!) Josiah moves much more in his sleep and we were a little nervous, but he has done fine with the open edge. His one big fall was over the head of his bed during a nap time wrongly turned play time. He was working hard to play hard in bed and somehow toppled over the tallest side, leaving a nice knot and bruise on his forehead. Ahhh, good the for record books. He also loves to run and jump into bed, which has twice left him tripping a few feet shy and catching his eyebrow on the bed frame- ouch! But now he has perfected his run and jump maneuver and we have stopped giving him a morning nap so that he is good and tired by the afternoon. We loved our baby in his crib, but I think this was the right time for Josiah in his ongoing attempt to be just like his big sister. :)
