How would our squirmy little guy do on a plane for three hours? We weren't sure, but with much prayer he did fine.
This April, we took a family trip down to Florida to see the Cook side of our family and get away from the cold. I also got a chance to go to The Gospel Coalition national conference, while Emily and the kids stayed with my family.
In addition to being Josiah's first plane ride, this was also the first time Sarah actually knew she was on a plane and could talk with us about it ahead of time. Building up the journey for her made it much more fun for all of us.

Of course, Sarah was even more excited to see Pappy and Gigi at their house. This little girl loves her grandparents!

Glad to be with pappy |

Pappy was pretty glad to see them, too |

One of the fun things we did was visiting a Children's Museum.

Later that week, we had a big family party to celebrate my Grandmother's 80th birthday. Last year, she had five great-grandsons born, to add to her two great-grandaughters. She's a blessed woman!

We still took time for a Family Portrait |

There were two more birthdays to celebrate, mine, and our nephew Eli's very first. We all had a great time the next day at the park giving Eli a big blast.

They gave me my own smash cake, so I shared it with Sarah |

Of course, a trip to Pappy and Gigi's always has a little beach time to go along with it.

Get used to it, little buddy! Cape Cod Summer is coming! |
