Happy 5 years, Lydia!

Our sweet Lydia. She is kind and pragmatic, full of song and laughter. She is a joy!

Weight: 55 lb 5 oz
Height: 3' 8.25"
Clothing: 5-6T
Shoe: size 11

Likes: dancing, pretending, swinging, smiling, coloring, school

Schedule:

7am Lydia starts her day by coming down for breakfast. She then gets ready for the day so that we can start school by 9am.

12:00 Lydia loves sandwiches and salad at lunchtime. She can mostly fix her own lunch these days.

1:00-3pm Nap time! Lydia rests for the first hour. During the second hour she reads if she hasn't fallen asleep.

3pm The kids play together, outside whenever possible!

5:30 At dinner time Lydia is a good eater and probably the first of our kids to try something new and admit she likes it. She is much more focused on the relational side of dinner than what is on her plate. Her favorite foods are mac and cheese, fruit, and tacos.

7pm She does well getting ready for bed. Lydia most often chooses mom to tuck her in and "Twink" as her song.

Fun things:
- Lydia is a great story teller. She heard a scary story at a library program and would tell it word for word full of emotion.
- She has a fantastic memory and is always willing to practice the scripture or poetry we are working on.
- School is off to a great start. Even on days when she has a least favorite subject, she is always ready and willing to do school. Her fine motor skills have improved rapidly, she is reading well, and she loves doing her presentation at our homeschool group.
- Lydia was super fearful of the beach/ocean when we got to Dauphin Island this summer. By the end of the week she was playing in the sand, running through the waves, and swimming in the ocean.
- She took her first official dance class this summer and ATE IT UP. It was super cute and we are all looking forward to dance next summer.
