An Anna Day:
7:00am Anna wakes up snuggly and slowly, but doesn't want to miss a moment of the day. She likes toasting waffles for breakfast.
Morning: She likes to dive into the day, and has to be reminded to get ready for the day. Once she is ready, she gets right to school and always has a finger on her social calendar and when she will get to play.
Lunch: Anna loves mac and cheese, but most often has simple fruit and veg for lunch. Popcorn lunches are a special treat.
Afternoon: We finish up school or helper jobs, then play with friends, read, or craft. During theater season she is getting ready for a night out at rehearsal.
Dinner: Anna always asks what we are having for dinner and has a strong opinion, but ultimately eats almost anything. She usually gets less meat, and more dairy or starch.
7:00pm: She looks forward to bedtime when she has time set aside for reading or listening to audiobooks. She sleeps with three stuffies, a sleep mask, and all the lights on unless someone else comes through and turns them off.
How we celebrated:
Anna landed a Sunday birthday this year, so we started the day with powdered donuts, eggs, and apple juice. She opened all of her gifts first thing, because after church and prayer lunch, she had two friends over to play and spend the night. They played bingo, had a tea party, painted nails, decorated mirrors, and more! They had pizza for dinner and a sprinkles cake that was an homage to her first birthday cake.
Fun Facts:
- Anna got glasses this year, and we learned she will probably wear glasses the rest of her life. So cute!
- She had her first year of Essentials and rocked it!
- Her reading fluency has really taken off!
- Pink is becoming our purple girl's favorite color!
